Position: PHP Web Developer
Location: Cape Town, CBD

Background:
One of South Africa`s top Wireless Application Service Providers (providing mobile content and solutions to the public) are currently growing their web department and hence are looking for skilled PHP Developers, with a solid understanding and knowledge of design patterns, object oriented methodology, current web trends and a good eye for interface design.
Skills:
• Strong OO development skills using PHP 5 and above.
• xHTML strict and pure CSS design skills
• Well versed in XML and XSL and comfortable using these as a template language.
• Uses Javascript, Ajax and other Web2.0 technologies to get the most from user interfaces
• Good working knowledge of Apache web server
• Able to design own databases and work with SQL.
Bonus Skills:
• Mootools
• Design patterns
• Linux
• Plesk control panel
• Test driven development (TDD). SimpleTest, PHPUnit.
• Linux command line scripting (bash)
• Flash
• Java
• Photoshop
• Trac/Bugzilla
• Subversion(SVN)/CVS
Experience:
• 2+ years development experience
• Exposure to the full software life cycle
• Experience developing high performance, scalable, reliable web sites
• Use of revision control and bug tracking systems
• Proven experience meeting deadlines and delivering quality code
