That`s it!
Surfers Choice is an (E)Mail Order Company whose slogan is "Window-Shop in the real world, then... shop@surferschoice.co.za".
Clicking on the website`s (lonely) picture, reveals the functionality (and genius) of the "website"...
Your single click opens an already typed email in your mail browser that is addressed to shop@surferschoice.co.za, with a list of product catalogues and ordering instructions. (Click on the above email address to see what I`m talking about!)
You`re instructed to delete the catalogues (in the email`s pre-typed list) that you do not want to receive and then hit send!
A sales person at Surfers Choice then replies to your email with their latest specials and if you see something you want, you can simply email, or call them, to make arrangements for payment and delivery. It`s that easy!
Whether or not "shopping by email" will take off the same way that conventional Online Shopping & Mail Order did, remains to be seen...
Aside from the obvious ridiculously low setup
costs of a site like this, Surfer`s Choice customers seem to enjoy the human touch in this way of transacting.
"It is a far more personal experience than simply punching your credit card number into a website that you don`t even know that you can trust."
